Following a recent overhaul of their school hall audio system, Boronia Heights State School re-engaged SoundPoint Audio Visual of Brisbane to replace their school bell, PA and school lockdown system.

“The client had specific requirements regarding the ability to customise the system to suit their lockdown procedures and a variety of school bell notifications” said Greg Nuttall, Manager at SoundPoint Audio Visual.

Greg suggested the school utilise BellCommander software, which can be easily customised to suit a range of school lockdown procedures as well as handle a variety of tones and alerts depending on the client’s requirements. The system also integrated a number of Barix IP network devices via Bose ZA-190 Zone Amplifiers, which reduced the need to add additional cabling and instead utilised the existing IT infrastructure. To ensure quality speech intelligibility, new music horn speakers were installed to deliver quality speech and music reproduction to the school when required.

This smart system has provided the school with greater flexibility to control their school bell, PA and school lockdown system, all whilst utilising a clever design across existing IT infrastructure.
