The University of Sunshine Coast recently engaged SoundPoint Audio Visual of Brisbane to deliver an RF Hearing Assistance system for their indoor basketball stadium, which is part of the University’s sports precinct.

“The University were looking for a Hearing Assistance system to meet their building code obligations, however retro fitting an induction loop system would have required significant installation costs due to the requirement to install the induction loop system underneath the flooring.  I suggested to the University that they consider an RF system instead, which allows anyone requiring hearing assistance to be given a receiver and headphones, with the signal being transmitted over a radio frequency (RF).  This prevented any line-of-sight issues and was flexible enough to cover the retractable seating areas within the stadium” stated Greg Nuttall, Manager at SoundPoint Audio Visual.
